Meet the Team

Haoran Zhou, M.Ed. M.Phil.

Doctoral Clinical Intern

To Haoran, everyone possesses great potential to pursue the life they desire, however, sometimes there could be barriers that prevent them from realizing this potential. Therapy works as the bridge to connect the clients' status quo to a better life. Haoran enjoys constructing trusty rapport with clients. He believes the sincere treatment relationship is just like the bridge base of the bridge. A satisfying treatment should nourish both the client and the therapist.

  • I finished my undergraduate in Central China Normal University with a degree in applied psychology. Later, I came to the University of Pennsylvania to complete my master-level education in mental health counseling. Now, I am a doctoral student at UMN, majoring in Couple and Family Therapy.

Both my clinical and research interests are closely related to early adversities and trauma interventions. I hope my research and clinical experiences would facilitate each other to lead me to be a more competent therapist for helping more people in need. I used to be a school counselor in American public schools and an outpatient therapist who worked closely with adolescents and adults. Being a family therapist is a new challenge for me. I am ready!

  • In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, cooking, working out, hanging out with friends, and playing video games. I always look forward to exploring something new!
