Michaela Finnegan

Masters Clinical Intern

Michaela considers herself a person-centered provider with a feminist and social justice lens and believes that each client is the expert on themselves. She is passionate about working with individuals who have struggled with addiction, trauma, and those who have involvement in the criminal justice system. Michaela is inspired by how one person’s healing can have a positive “ripple effect” on the people they interact with and communities as a whole.

  • Michaela attended Minnesota State University, Mankato, for her Bachelor’s in Alcohol and Drug Studies. She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and has experience working in high-intensity co-occurring and medium-intensity residential, as well as IOP and low-intensity.

Michaela is a Master’s level intern from the University of St. Thomas and is working towards LPCC licensure. She is trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET).

  • Michaela enjoys practicing yoga, spending time in nature, playing cards, and connecting with loved ones.
